Marcelo Cucco

Marcelo Cucco, a Brazilian musician, started his musical journey as a child, playing saxophone and clarinet in symphony orchestras in Rio de Janeiro. At the age of 14, he joined popular rock and 90s style groups, performing in pubs and theatres for young audiences. However, it was at 18 that his career took off when he began playing with popular music bands covering various genres from the 60s, 70s, 80s, jazz, Brazilian, and South American folk music. During this time, he had the opportunity to collaborate with renowned musicians in Brazil and internationally.

 

At 20, Marcelo embarked on a music education degree while simultaneously undertaking a travelling musical composition project across South America. He financed the project through local gigs and sales of his own physical records. Throughout this period, he actively engaged in events focusing on musical innovations and alternative movements in South America.

 

In 2019, Marcelo started performing as a soloist in European countries such as Italy, France, Spain, Germany, and the Czech Republic. After living in Italy for a few years, he relocated to London, UK, where he dedicated himself to creating songs for international occasions. He frequently performs in traditional pubs, lounges, restaurants, and jazz venues across the UK. Marcelo has also been contracted to perform on intercontinental cruises, including expeditions to remote locations such as the Arctic, as well as prestigious events like the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

 

In addition to his solo work, Marcelo brings his saxophone skills to a range of events, including corporate functions, private parties, weddings, and social gatherings. His passion for music knows no bounds, and he is always open to new adventures with his instrument.
